[E]xamine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22)

January 20, 2017, Donald J. Trump was inaugurated the 45th President of the United States Constitutional Republic. His inauguration was preceded by a historical campaign and run for the presidency. Love him or hate him, Trump has everyone’s attention.

Cyrus, Nebuchadnezzar, King David, or Nehemiah?

I couldn’t begin to tell you how many times this past year I heard someone compare Trump to King Cyrus, King Nebuchadnezzar, King David, or Nehemiah. Predominantly, it was Cyrus, King of Persia:

Thus saith Yahweh,1 thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am Yahweh that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; that frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; that confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof…. That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, thou shalt be built; and to the temple, thy foundation shall be laid. (Isaiah 44:24-28)

Isaiah’s prophecy was written approximately 100 years before Cyrus was born, demonstrating that Yahweh is sovereign over His entire creation, including kings, princes, and presidents. This is true whether they are God-ordained authorities (depicted in Romans 13:1-72 as a blessing to nations that look to Yahweh as their Sovereign) or God-established powers (depicted in Daniel 4:173 as part of His judgment upon nations that reject Him as their God and King).4

Whether Trump is a modern-day Cyrus, Nimrod, or someone else, he was put in the position he’s in as President of the United States by God. And he was chosen to be President at this time to do God’s will and pleasure, whatever that is. The is true for all of us:

For it is God which worketh in you to both to will and to work for his good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)

Yahweh’s good pleasure for King Cyrus was to use him to bless the Judahites returning from their seventy-year Babylonian captivity by helping—even financing—them in rebuilding Jerusalem and His temple:

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia … Yahweh stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, … Yahweh God of heaven … hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? Yahweh his God be with him, and let him go up. (2 Chronicles 36:22-23)5

In short, God used Cyrus to make the house of Judah great again. Thus, the comparison many have made between Cyrus and Trump, believing God has called Trump to be America’s Cyrus. They believe God will use Trump to lead America back from the precipice of moral depravity and destruction she’s presently teetering on—in Trump’s words: make America great again.

Utterly Impossible!

Many believe Trump’s the man. I hope he is such a man.

Believing it when it’s yet to be seen isn’t going to make it so and will likely blind us to the reality of who Trump is presently. This has already been demonstrated in that many Christians were euphoric over Trump’s inaugural speech when they should have instead lamented.

With things as they are presently, it’s utterly impossible for Trump to make America great again. Might he make some things better than they were under Obama? (Which shouldn’t be difficult!) Of course, and it would seem he already has. It could thus be argued he’s already shown himself a Cyrus to America. Nevertheless, regardless what good he accomplishes as President, it remains impossible for him to make America great again.

Americas former greatness

The case can certainly be made that America was once a great nation and consequently one that was exemplary in her testimony to the rest of the world. But the reason most people believe she was great is a classic case of Isaiah 5:20, calling evil good and good evil.

Ultimately only Yahweh as sovereign Creator determines what it is that constitutes greatness, and only He can make nations great. With this in mind, according to Deuteronomy 28:1-14, Yahweh blesses nations that look to Him as their sovereign and His moral law6 as supreme. America’s early greatness and prosperity was the result of 17th-century Christian Colonial America’s governments of, by, and for God, established upon His unchanging moral law as the law of the land:

Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America, 1835

[The 17th-century Colonials] exercised the rights of sovereignty; they named their magistrates, concluded peace or declared war, made police regulations, and enacted laws as if their allegiance was due only to God. Nothing can be more curious and, at the same time more instructive, than the legislation of that period; it is there that the solution of the great social problem which the United States now presents to the world is to be found [in perfect fulfillment of Deuteronomy 4:5-8, demonstrating the continuing veracity of Yahweh’s law and its accompanying blessings, per Deuteronomy 28:1-14].

Amongst these documents we shall notice, as especially characteristic, the code of laws promulgated by the little State of Connecticut in 1650. The legislators of Connecticut begin with the penal laws, and … they borrow their provisions from the text of Holy Writ … copied verbatim from the books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy.…7

America was great because God made her great, and He made her great because she looked to Him as her sovereign, demonstrated in that she initially established government and society upon His immutable, unchanging, and perfect law.8

On the other hand, according to Deuteronomy 28:15-68, Yahweh curses nations that reject His sovereignty and replace His law with man-made surrogates. Thus, America became cursed—only incrementally at first, thanks to God’s long suffering—when the 18th-century founding fathers replaced the 17th-century Colonial governments with their own humanistic government of, by, and for the people, based upon capricious Enlightenment and Masonic traditions.9 Without repentance for our complicity in this sedition against Yahweh, it was inevitable that America would find herself where she is today.

Which is Trump restoring?

Just as Yahweh was true to His word in blessing early America for their obedience, He has likewise been true to His word in cursing present-day America for her mutiny.10 The only thing that can change America’s suicidal course is a return to her righteous 17th-century foundations:

If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3)

Restore the foundations!

The obvious question regarding Trump is: Is he restoring America’s righteous foundations—that is, government of, by, and for God, established upon His moral law? Or is he merely rearranging the deck chairs on what’s presently a sinking Titanic—a government of, by, and for the people based upon capricious man-made traditions?

If you’ve listened to any of his speeches—including and especially his inaugural speech—the answer to this question should be apparent and should help us determine whether Trump is currently a modern-day Cyrus, a modern-day Nimrod, or a little of both.

See Part 2, in which we’ll begin to biblically examine Trump’s inaugural speech.

Ten Reasons Why Romans 13 is Not About Secular Government, Part 3

Law and Kingdom: Their Relevance Under the New Covenant

A Biblical Constitution: A Scriptural Replacement for Secular Government

1.  YHWH, the English transliteration of the Tetragrammaton, is most often pronounced Yahweh. It is the principal Hebrew name of the God of the Bible and was inspired to appear nearly 7,000 times in the Old Testament. Regrettably, it was deleted by the English translators. In obedience to the Third Commandment and the many Scriptures that charge us to proclaim, swear by, praise, extol, call upon, bless, glorify, and hold fast to His name, we have chosen to memorialize His name here in this document and in our lives. For a more thorough explanation concerning important reasons for using the sacred name of God, see “The Third Commandment.”

2. “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God…. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil…. [T]hey are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing….” (Romans 13:1-7)

3. “This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” (Daniel 4:17)

The statutes of Yahweh are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of Yahweh is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of Yahweh are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 1. Atossa says:

The association between Trump with Cyrus is interesting… some of the symbolism is quite uncanny… especially to me because God has led me to study Cyrus since 1993.

The America Trump overtly seeks to restore is secular humanistic pluralistic melting-pot Babylon. In his GOP acceptance speech, Trump publicly promoted sodomites. Most of his campaign promises centered on secular economic reforms while he embraced America’s perverse cultural marxism.

Trump’s famous slogan “Make America Great Again” reminds me of Jeremish 51:9 “We would have healed Babylon, but she can not be healed.”

In the Bible, there are three incarnations of Babylon… with each incarnation, Babylon becomes more global.

City – Tower of Babel, where the people were one – one language, culture, etc… until God destroyed the tower and separated the people.

Region – Ancient Babylonian Empire, the globalist of the ancient world who conquered many nations, removed people from their homelands and moved foreigners into their lands in an effort to destroy loyalty to race, ethnos, land, culture, religion, etc. When God’s anointed King, Cyrus, conquered Babylon, he returned Babylon’s captives back to their native lands.

Global – Babylon the great, mother of harlots and abomination of the earth which is the current evil perverted antichrist one world globalist system that is now moving its captive population around the world… moving massive third world populations into [former] White Christian homelands to destroy God’s European Christ-bearing people.

The ancient Babylonian empire and Cyrus who conquered it is where Bible history meets secular history.

Cyrus was an Aryan Achaemenid who arose to power in Elam [Persia, now Iran] united the Aryan Medes and Aryan Persian tribes [either 10 or 12 Persian tribes depending on which ancient Greek historian tells the story] and founded the Persian empire that ruled the ancient world, including God’s Holy Land, for about 200 years until Alexander the Great conquered Persia.

Cyrus is an OT archetype of Christ. Isaiah 45 calls Cyrus, God’s anointed, whose right hand God held to make him king of the world [Ezra 1.] Isaiah 44:28 calls Cyrus God’s shepherd who would do God’s will to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple [that Babylon and its ally Edom had destroyed.]

Per Isaiah 45:4-5, God chose Cyrus before Cyrus knew God. Thanks to Daniel, Cyrus came to know God.

Isaiah 1:21 = ” How is the faithful city become an harlot! ”

This is what once Christian America has become, the globalist harlot, “Babylon the Great”, mother of harlots and abominations of the earth [Rev 17:5]… “Babylon the Great” is fallen, is fallen… [Rev 18:2]

The secular humanist America Trump wants to make “great” again is Babylon.

Trump also said he wanted to “drain the swamp.”

The irony is… Cyrus was God’s king who made the ancient city of Babylon fall… not with an overwhelming army in a direct frontal attack. Instead Cyrus waited until the Babylonians were celebrating a festival, partying drunk in the streets, Cyrus covertly diverted the water from the Euphrates river so his troops could secretly enter the city of Babylon in a surprise attack by going under Babylon’s wall that was too strong to breach [Ironically, Trump wants to “build a wall.”] Cyrus’ troops pretended to be fellow Babylonian revelers while they covertly made their way through the city streets to the palace. In other words, Cyrus literally did drain Babylon’s swamp when he diverted water from the Euphrates river and stole Babylon like a thief [similar Cyrus imagery is in Rev 16.] When Cyrus diverted/drained the water of the Euphrates river at Babylon, it symbolically uncovered Jeremiah’s prophecy against Babylon that had been weighted and thrown into the Euphrates river at Babylon [Jeremiah 51:61-64.]

  2. Atossa says:

    @ Mr Weiland

Many thanks for your wonderful sermons on what some view as a possible Trump/Cyrus connection.

Thank you also for giving me an opportunity to share my insights on what has been a special passion of mine… Babylonian & Persian history as it relates to the Bible.

My own internet name, Atossa, which I’ve used since I arrived on the internet in 2000, also relates to my study. I believe the book of Esther [whose setting was in the ancient Persian empire] is a type of parable [which is why God is not overtly mentioned] and is based on historic events including a massacre of the followers of “the lie” in ancient Persia. Esther [Hadassah] is based on historical Atossa, the daughter of Cyrus, wife of Darius, and mother of Xerxes. Furthermore, I believe the parable of Esther is also prophetic and relates to end-time events… specifically, the casting of lots by Edomite Haman, for the timing to destroy God’s people and how God used it for good.

    .

    • Ted Weiland says:

You’re very welcome. Thanks for your sharing your thoughts.

I believe you’re incorrect about Esther. I believe she and Mordecai were the direct descendants of King Saul and Haman a direct descendant of Agag, the king of the Edomite Amelekites, who was initially spared by Saul. This demonstrates the generational effect of one’s sin–there would have been no Edomite Haman to destroy the Judahites had Saul been obedient to his commission to annihilate the Amelekites.

It furthermore reveals the continuing conflict between Jacob/Israel’s descendants and Esau/Edom’s descendants that began in the womb of Rebekah when Jacob and Esau were jockeying for first-born position.

For more, see my expository series on the book of Esther “Taking Back What’s Ours!,” beginning at http://www.missiontoisrael.org/tapelist.php#T242.

    • Bob says:

Esther, if you research the whole of Scripture as you have in other areas, you will find was in fact an event that happened – the whole situation there is the only place in scripture where polygamy worked, and shows how at the outcast and seemingly inconsequential unions work together for Gods Glory in His Sovereign plan.

      • Atossa says:

Martin Luther [and others] questioned the acceptance of the book of Esther because it does not mention God.

Jesus’ parables also do not mention God.

This is one of the reasons I believe the book of Esther is a type of parable based on real events in ancient Persia [that I have described in detail in other comments.]

I also believe Esther is prophetic.

Here we are at the end of the age. Haman’s antichrist Edomites have usurped the identity of Israel while plotting the total destruction of true Israel, God’s White European Christ-bearing people. Edomite Haman cast the lot for the timing of true Israel’s final destruction… but the truth of true Israel’s identity is revealed… and it is Haman and his evil Edomite tribe who are destroyed. This is the prophetic meaning of the parable of Esther.

I’ve only known within the last 30yrs of one head of State to dedicate his whole term, administration, and every action to the glory of God in the name of Jesus Christ: Frederick Chiluba of Zambia in the mid-1990’s. Donald Trump is the new CEO of the secular “United States” municipal corporation on DC. Many of us taking this as a positive “God-established” action due to the alternative: Killary. The Romans 10:9 Believing populace on this land repented enough for Yahweh to give us a bit of a reprieve from a judgment “worse than death”, which Killary certainly would’ve brought. Trump still can. Trump can either be “Cyrus” or he can be much worse than Killary, which would be the Nimrod you’ve referenced. Most heads of State dare not decree Yeshua to be their head, because most are under founding docs that do not have the kind of mobility for that kind of decree. The position of CEO/President of United States inc on DC is such, and was destined for such from its inception from the 1774 Articles of Association. Can you, Ted, show me how they could have founded this land on the Torah, given the knowledge of those men involved from the Masonic/Enlightenment/Humanistic side of things? While you, many others, and myself see (and want) the advantages of a Torah system of governance, we’re in the extreme minority at the moment. Have you seen the documentary “The Way”?
    https://www.thewaydoc.com/
I highly recommend its viewing at your earliest convenience.
Either Trump is an opportunity for the “Church”, or the worst that could ever happen to us. I look fwd to your response to my questions. Thanks for reading.

    • Ted Weiland says:

      Gregory, thanks for your input.

That the 18th-century founders were an Enlightenment and Masonic cadre assured that would NOT found government on the Torah. Albeit not done perfectly, for that we need to go back to the 17th-century Christian Colonials. See blog article “America’s Greatest Constitution” at http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/americas-greatest-constitution/.

As for us being a small minority, see blog article “Ten Reasons Why the Kingdom Here On Earth is Not Mission Impossible” at http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/10-reasons-the-kingdom-here-on-earth-isnt-mission-impossible/ and “Self-Imposed Impotence” at http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/self-imposed-impotence/.

No, I have not seen the documentary “The Way.”

      • John Paul Crowder says:

Very prominent among those 17th Century colonials was ROGER WILLIAMS, an arch-advocate of separation of Church and State. The experience of Williams and others was instructive concerning what happens when men attempt to conflate Church and State and establish theocratic regimes. His fellow Puritans left Europe to escape religious persecution and then, ironically, many of them came to persecute those who disagreed with them religiously. The later founding founders carefully avoided this mistake and gave us a republic where Church and State are separate. God bless them!

        • Ted Weiland says:

John, thanks for joining the discussion.

Actually, Roger Williams was not an arch-advocate of separation of Church and State. He only thought he was. No one who has ever lived or will live is an advocate of the separation of Church/Religion and State.

There are no vacuums when it comes to legislated morality or, more often than not, immorality. Thus, there are also no vacuums when it comes to religious-influenced government, be it even secular humanism (in its many forms), and it usually is.

When one understands that idolatry is not so much about statues as it is statutes, it becomes clear that all governments are theocratic, serving either the true God or some false god, demonstrated by what laws they keep and consider the supreme law of the land.

Question: Were the governments in the Old Testament under the god Baal (or any other false god named in the Old Testament) theocracies?
          Answer: Of course, they were.
Question: Was Baal (or any other god named in the Bible) real or were they merely ancient forms of We the People?
Answer: Merely ancient forms of We the People

          Consequently:

“…There is no escaping theocracy. A government’s laws reflect its morality, and the source of that morality (or, more often than not, immorality) is its god. It is never a question of theocracy or no theocracy, but whose theocracy. The American people, by way of their elected officials, are the source of the Constitutional Republic’s laws. Therefore, the Constitutional Republic’s god is WE THE PEOPLE.

“People recoil at the idea of a theocracy’s morality being forced upon them, but because all governments are theocracies, someone’s morality is always being enforced. This is an inevitability of government. The question is which god, theocracy, laws, and morality will we choose to live under?…”

For more, see online Chapter 3 “The Preamble: WE THE PEOPLE vs. YAHWEH” of “Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective” at bibleversusconstitution.org/BlvcOnline/biblelaw-constitutionalism-pt3.html.

        • Ted Weiland says:

John, Democracies and Republics are just two different contemporary forms of man doing what is right in his own eyes, per Judges 21:25. Judges 21:25 is what today is commonly known as humanism, aka We the Peopleism:

“…Constitutionalists insist the United States government is a republic, not a democracy, but they never stop to consider that the two are virtually the same regarding sovereignty.

“Christian Constitutionalists further insist republics are Biblical. However, because republics (like democracies) rely upon the majority vote of the people for the selection of their leaders, rather than upon Yahweh’s choice (as per Deuteronomy 17:15), republics are not anymore Biblical than are democracies. Both democracies and republics culminate in a government of, by, and for the people rather than a government of, by, and for Yahweh. The same is true with other issues voted upon by the people: ultimately the majority’s will is exalted over Yahweh’s will.

“As demonstrated in Chapter 3, both republican and Christian governments are ultimately theocracies. As a result, they are incompatible and hostile to each other. A republic looks to the people as its sovereign; a Christian theocracy looks to Yahweh. The very definition of a sovereign, or supreme ruler, excludes simultaneous sovereigns.”

For more, see Chapter 8 “Article 5: Inherent Imperfection” of free online book “Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective” at http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org/BlvcOnline/biblelaw-constitutionalism-pt8.html.

  4. Atossa says:

    @ Mr Weiland

You know the truth about the evil Edomites. Haman was an evil Amelekite, an Edomite descended from Agag and Esau.

Per Josephus, Edomites lost a war to the kingdom of Israel in the 2nd century BC. Then the prince/high priest of Israel did something very evil and very stupid. He allowed Israel’s enemy, Edom, to live in the Kingdom of Israel if they “converted”, which they all did en masse. The Edomite-jews became fifth-columnists who took over the Kingdom of Israel and disinherited true Israelites. King Herod was an Edomtie-jew who allied with Rome and conquered Jerusalem in 37BC. Edomite-jew Herod became king of Judea, murdered the last of the Israelite royal heirs, murdered priests, totally destroyed the second temple [the one Cyrus decreed built] to rebuild his own version and tried to murder God’s Temple made without hands, the Christ child. Both Rev 2:9 and Rev 3:9 refer to Edomite synagogue of satan impostors who pretend to be Jews.

Today, the Edomite-jew synagogue of satan again maliciously occupies and misrules God’s ancient Holy Land as they did during Israel’s Babylonian captivity and during the time of Christ.

This is why the identity theme in Esther is so interesting and prophetic.

In ancient Persia, after Cyrus’ death, there was also an identity crisis when an evil impostor assumed the identity of Cyrus’ dead son while Cyrus’ other son and heir was away conquering Egypt. Cyrus’ real son and heir died on the way back to Persia to defend his throne… making the evil impostor role ruler for several months. Cyrus’ daughter, Atossa, would have known the impostor was a fake, but she was held captive. A Persian prince, Darius, exposed and killed the impostor. When the Persian people realized how they have been deceived by the impostor, they massacred the followers of the impostor, the followers of “the lie” as Darius called it. The anniversary of that massacre became a holiday in ancient Persia. Darius married Atossa and became king. It was King Darius who followed in Cyrus’ footsteps, decreeing the finishing of the temple in Jerusalem.

      • Atossa says:

        @ Mr Weiland

God blessed me with the understanding of our Israel identity at an early age.

In the OT God was symbolically married to Israel. Israelites had a civil war and split into two kingdoms. The larger kingdom of Israel and the smaller kingdom of Judah. Because of the sin of adultery [worshiping false gods] God divorced the northern kingdom, Assyria conquered it and vast majority of Israelites were removed from God’s Holy Land, resettled in the “cities of the Medes”* and beyond… and they became gentiles. Later the kingdom of Judah also sinned. God punished her with Babylonian destruction and captivity, then used Cyrus to return a portion of the Israelites from the southern kingdom [from whom God incarnated] back to Jerusalem.

At the time of Christ, the vast majority of Israelites were scattered into Europe and Asia and had become “gentiles” [ie, nations.] Jesus said He was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel. Jesus said His sheep would hear His voice and follow Him. Jesus said He had two sheep-folds [one tiny one in Judea and one much larger one in the diaspora.] In the name of Jesus Christ, James 1:1 addresses all 12 tribes on Israel scattered abroad. True Israelites became Christians, leaving behind the false unbelieving Edomite “converts.” This fulfilled prophecy in Isaiah 65:15 that said God would call His servants by another name [Christian.]

Jesus’ disciples were sent to seek out that which was lost… racial Israelites who had been disinherited and/or divorced… so naturally they went to the gentile nations where the vast majority of Israelites lived.

Paul made the analogy of the wild olive branch grafted on the olive tree. This is important because both are the same kind, olive, which is a symbol of Israel. The wild olive branch were the divorced/disinherited Israelites scattered as gentiles.

All 12 tribes of Israel were united again under the King of kings, Jesus Christ… they are God’s White European Christ-bearing people.

God/Christ is married in Revelation. God/Christ remarries Israel. God/Christ paid the ultimate bride-price, He died and resurrected for Israel.

        * 2 Kings 17:6 & 2 Kings 18:11 – In secular history, the Aryan Achaemenid Persians were a smaller people divided into 10-12 tribes who were connected with the Aryan Medes. Achaemenid Persians worshipped one invisible god, they called “Wise Lord.” I suspect they were Israelites… which would explain why God chose Cyrus to be His anointed shepherd king to led a portion of Judah back to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple preparing the way for the birth of Christ.

        .

        • Atossa says:

Below is translation of one of Darius the Great’s inscriptions. He was the Persian prince who exposed “the lie” and killed the evil impostor who had usurped the kingdom by deception [the impostor I equate with Edomite Haman in the parable of Esther.] Darius married Cyrus’ daughter and became king. He was the Darius in Ezra 6 who decreed the completion of the temple in Jerusalem that Cyrus had decreed be built.

” I am Darius the great king, king of kings,
king of many countries and many people,
king of this great earth far and wide,
          son of Hystaspes, an Achaemenid,
a Persian, son of a Persian,
          an Aryan, having Aryan lineage.”

          From Darius’ Naqsh-e Rustam inscription

          Yahweh did Marry Israel.
If he had not in some way, then there would not of been necessary the death Of Messiah to release them from the law & to buy them back.

          • Atossa says:

The Bible is a love story between God and His chosen people, Israel. Ironically, many secular romance stories follow a similar pattern… boy meets girl, boy loses girl, they reunite in the end and live happily ever after.

From the 12 sons [tribes] of Jacob [Israel] in Genesis… to New Jerusalem’s 12 gates one for each of the 12 tribes of Israel in Revelation… the Bible is all about God’s relationship with Israel. Other people and nations are mentioned when they interact with Israel.

Marriage imagery is throughout both the OT and NT.

Jesus’ first miracle was at a wedding.

God married Israel at Mt Sinai. God gave Israel His laws and Israel promised obedience.

Israel had a civil war and split into two kingdoms.

God divorced the northern kingdom of Israel [the vast majority of the tribes of Israel] because she was unfaithful. God sent His divorced wife to live with her pagan lovers among the gentiles.

God says to remarry a divorced wife who has since been defiled by another is an abomination. Deuteronomy 24:4 / Jeremiah 3

The only thing that could break the old marriage covenant is death.

The death of God incarnate, Jesus Christ, nullified the old marriage covenant… so God/Christ can remarry all 12 Israel tribes under a new marriage covenant. “This is My blood of the covenant” – new covenant – new testament – remarriage to Israel.

Furthermore, the ancient custom was for the bridegroom to pay a bride price. This is what Jesus meant when He said you are bought with a price. Once the bride and groom are engaged to be married, the bridegroom leaves [Jesus’ ascension into heaven] to build the marriage home [New Jerusalem.] The bride and her maidens wait for the bridegroom to return [second coming]… not knowing exactly when that will be [Jesus’ parable of the 10 virgins.] At the bridegroom’s second coming the bride, groom and guests proceed to the wedding feast [marriage supper of the Lamb.]

  5. Joe Asmus says:

    Mr. Weiland,

Thank you for your great work! I am excited to see how Yahweh will use Mr. Trump in HIS KINGDOM here on earth. With all that has been said, are not all of us “God established”?

    • Ted Weiland says:

Joe, thanks for joining the conversation and thanks for the encouragement.

Lord willing, I’ll have Part 2 posted sometime next week. In the meantime, don’t forget about the two-part audio presentation by the same title. Part 1 can be found at http://bibleversusconstitution.org/tapelist.html#trump.

Yahweh is sovereign over His entire creation, including those whom he’s chosen to rule or lead others. Thus, I use the term “God-established powers” to designate rulers whom God has chosen usually for the judgment of ungodly nations, per Daniel 4:17. I used the term “God-ordained authorities to designate leaders God has chosen for the blessing of godly nations, per Romans 13:3-4.

For more regarding God-ordained authorities versus God-established powers, see blog article “Ten Reasons Why Romans 13 is Not About Secular Government, Part 3” at http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/ten-reasons-why-romans-13-is-not-about-secular-government-part-3/.

      Blessings!

” Yahweh is sovereign over His entire creation, including those whom he’s chosen to rule or lead others. ”

        AMEN !

God is totally sovereign over all His creation and places rulers in power for good or for ill.

In the OT, God used pagan kings/nations [like Assyria and Babylon] to punish God’s people who had rebelled and sinned against Him.

King Josiah was a example of an Israelite king who repented and made radical righteous reforms.

During King Josiah’s rule, he gave money to have the temple repaired. During the repairs, they found the book of God’s Laws and took it to the king. King Josiah was aghast because he realized his kingdom was living contrary to God’s laws and would be severely punished for its sins. King Josiah repented and made radical righteous reforms, including getting rid of sodomites who had even been allowed in the temple [that is how degenerate and depraved the Israel kingdom had become.] God told King Josiah that because he repented and made radical righteous reforms, God would postpone the kingdom’s destruction until after the king’s death so he would be spared from seeing the total destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. Josiah’s heirs allowed the kingdom to return to its evil sinful rebellion. Babylon [with its ally Edom] destroyed Jerusalem and the temple.

2 Kings 23:25 says of Josiah:

” Before him there was no king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses, nor did any like him arise after him.”

If God only postponed punishment for an Israelite king/nation that repented and tried to make amends… what would God do to an Israelite king/nation that knowingly violates God’s Laws and refuses to repent or make amends ?!

Btw… King Josiah died from a battle wound in 609BC. Ironically, Josiah had attacked the Egyptian army that was crossing his land to fight along side Assyria against Babylon. Many Bible scholars count the 70 years of Babylonian rule from that date, King Josiah’s death in 609BC, 70 years to 539BC, when Cyrus conquered Babylon.

Wow… I am impressed by your informative comments on Gorsuch at link below. Thank you !

In the spirit of Elijah, your lone righteous voice is crying in the wilderness of the internet.

I can’t count the number of times my internet voice has been ridiculed and silenced [banned] even on so-called “Christian” forums.

Think of internet forums as virtual villages. When your righteous testimony is demeaned, attacked and silenced… move on to the next village. As Jesus told His disciples, you will not have gone over all the towns in Israel before the Son of Man comes [Matthew 10:23.]

It was your comment quoting John Wickey that reached me… thank you !

I knew Gorsuch was a member of the liberal Episcopal Church. But I did not know the specific church he attended has a female pastor, what an evil abomination!

Women should never be church, government or military officials. The fact that all [former] White Christian nations now have female officials ruling over men is yet another sign of the evil end of the age.

  7. Chris says:

    Great article Ted.

I know you’re well aware of my view about the “Trump’s another Cyrus and he’s gonna save us I tell ya !” crowd, but I repost a comment I posted on another “Hopium” user’s article on the subject anyway:

Inauguration Speakers Out Of Order With The Word:

William Smith: “As Trump just announced, Franklin Graham and 6 other religious figures will speak at the event.”

And every single one of them out of order with The Almighty’s Word, with Graham leading the pack !

As I posted before on this nonsense, I post again:

False Prophet Billy Graham’s Son’s “Hopium” For Trump Being Sent To Save Us:

This kind of “Hope upon hope” (some call it being on “Hopium”) that somehow Trump was sent by The Almighty to deliver us from this lawless nation’s demise looks more like the strong delusion described in 2 Thessalonians 2: 10 – 12.

Then again, what would one expect from the son of the false prophet who has been one of the biggest perpetrators of the false “way to salvation”, which cannot be found in the Holy Scriptures.    Also, do keep in mind there is precedent for The Almighty sending a “deceiving spirit” to false prophets: 1 Kings 22: 1 – 28; deceiving spirit at vs. 21 – 23.

Some have gone so far as to claim “God” spoke to them and gave them a prophesy that Trump was a type of “Cyrus”:

Search: God Spoke To Jeremiah Johnson – Silver Doctor’s: “The Donald Trump Prophecy”:

To which I say: There’s a big difference between God sending someone like Trump to this people for the purpose of “electing” or “choosing” such a man for office and The Almighty choosing a foreign king to release a small portion of His people to return to His chosen Holy City (at that time).

I find it difficult to imagine The Almighty “talking” to this Jeremiah Johnson fellow and telling him He’s gonna put a lawless man (among many other things, a self admitted adulterer) in such a position to “save us”.

Moreover, it would be a violation of His law as He instructed His people: “His Law is perfect” and that “…  you shall not add or subtract therefrom.” Deut. 4: 1 – 2; 12: 32; Psalm 19: 7 – 8; James 1: 25.

Isn’t that the very purpose of the offices of legislators and presidents ??

I could, however, see The Almighty putting him in as judgment.

In the sage words of the late Nord Davis Jr., “Learn to see what you’re looking at.”

    • Ted Weiland says:

Chris, thanks for your input and for pointing others to the election article.

    • Atossa says:

      Democracy is evil.

” It is, first and foremost, the cause of the incredible inundation of all political life with the most inferior, and I mean the most inferior, characters of our time. Just as the true leader will withdraw from all political activity which does not consist primarily in creative achievement and work, but in bargaining and haggling for the favor of the majority, in the same measure this activity will suit the small mind and consequently attract it.”

” This invention of democracy is most intimately related to a quality which in recent times has grown to be a real disgrace, to wit, the cowardice of a great part of our so-called ‘leadership. What luck to be able to hide behind the skirts of a so-called majority in all decisions of any real importance!”

“Take a look at one of these political bandits. How anxiously he begs the approval of the majority for every measure, to assure himself of the necessary accomplices, so he can unload the responsibility at any time. And this is one of the main reasons why this type of political activity is always repulsive and hateful to any man who is decent at heart and hence courageous, while it attracts all low characters – and anyone who is unwilling to take personal responsibility for his acts, but seeks a shield, is a cowardly scoundrel. When the leaders of a nation consist of such vile creatures, the results will soon be deplorable. Such a nation will be unable to muster the courage for any determined act; it will prefer to accept any dishonor, even the most shameful, rather than rise to a decision; for there is no one who is prepared of his own accord to pledge his person and his head for the execution of a dauntless resolve.”

” For there is one thing which we must never forget: in this, too, the majority can never replace the man. It is not only a representative of stupidity, but of cowardice as well. And no more than a hundred empty heads make one wise man will an heroic decision arise from a hundred cowards. ”

  8. Atossa says:

The few articles I’ve seen that compare Trump to Cyrus do not go into detail as to why the analogy.

Since Trump is so cozy with Edomite-jews [his daughter is married to a jew] and Trump said he would move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, I assume those who worship antichrist Edomite-jews think Trump will facilitate the rebuilding of their blasphemous Herod’s temple. In other words, their version of a modern Cyrus would be based on misidentity and false belief.

  9. Atossa says:

All the discussion about Trump being secretly allied with Putin, made me wonder if Trump was Putin’s “governor of Gutium.” In secular history, the Babylonian governor of Gutium defected to Cyrus. It was the governor of Gutium who led Cyrus’ covert invasion into the city of Babylon [apparently he had tactical knowledge of the city.]

Rev 16:12 is imagery from God’s king from the east, Cyrus, whose brilliant plan was to divert water from the Euphrates river at Babylon, so his troops could secretly enter the city by going under Babylon’s wall along the dried river path. In Rev 16:12, kings [from the east], is plural.

  10. Jesse says:

    Atossa:

You have great insight. I am convinced the Edomites have a plan for Trump, and I guess we will all see what those plans are. I also believe the Edomites have their hooks in every Government on the planet right now. We need to see things from Yahweh’s eyes. Easier said then done most of the time.

    • Atossa says:

      Thank you, Jesse

Conflict with Iran appears to be ratcheting up… I wonder if Edom’s plan is a war against Iran ?

How ironic would that be… considering Cyrus was a Persian. Although the Aryan Achaemenid Persians 2500 years ago were different racially/religiously from Iran today. This is why it was lawful for Hadassah [Esther] to marry the Aryan Achaemenid king… both Persians and Israelites were racialists and both were the same race.

  11. AL LECOU says:

President Trump evokes feelings of hope as a possible neo-King Cyrus. Yet it also reinforces the realization that I don’t know anything about how Yehovah works things out to accomplish his will. I only know what has taken place already.
In Psa 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Psa 2:5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

It is possible to draw an analogy of this last election as regarding this part of Psalms. The whole of MSM told us Hillary had a lock and we are now seeing the Rage against the outcome that only YHWH saw and a few earthly sources speculated. The election of Trump has truly vexed the opposition and the opposition plots revenge and Yehovah scoffs and laughs at them.

How this plays out towards Yehovah’s plan “his Kingdom” on earth, Yeshua Messiah as ruler
remains to be seen. If nothing else it’s either a reprieve from tyranny or acceleration to the end of the age.

  12. Atossa says:

    AL LECOU, thank you!

Psalm 2 is a great analogy.

It also reminds me of the cryptic verse at the end of Isaiah 14.

Isaiah 13 speaks about God’s army [Cyrus’ Medes/Persians] conquering Babylon.

Isaiah 14 is imagery of the fall of the king of Babylon.

So the cryptic verse at the end of Isaiah 14 referring to the “fiery flying serpent” might be prophetic of Cyrus.

” Rejoice not you, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote you is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent. ”

    Isaiah 14:29

Bible scholars say the verse refers to a king of Israel who power was broken by his enemies… but later replaced by a “fiery flying serpent” = a new more powerful avenging king of Israel.

Btw… Seraphim, angels who administer before the throne of God, are also referred to as “fiery.” Per Strong’s 8314, the word, Saraph, can also be translated “fiery serpent.”

    http://lexiconcordance.com/hebrew/8314.html

Trump can certainly speak out in fiery speech [and twitters.]

  13. Atossa says:

Trump is certainly a catalyst for a lot of confusion and chaos.

His most recent fiasco is hiring a foul-mouth hothead as his “communications director” then firing him a week later.

I suspect the ongoing chaos and confusion is intentional… part of a bigger plan.
