[B]ecause they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law … they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind…. (Hosea 8:1, 7)

 Whirlwind Rights

A familiar proverb declares, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” America’s road to “hell” has been paved with rights, including:

  • Natural rights
  • Human rights
  • Civil rights
  • Political rights
  • Religious rights (including the right for all non-Christian religions to proliferate)
  • Educational rights
  • Women’s rights (including the right to murder one’s unborn baby)
  • Children’s rights
  • Health care rights
  • Welfare rights
  • Homosexual rights
  • Transgender rights

And this is the short list. Former United States Attorney General Stephen J. Markman confirmed that the unbiblical rights above are included in the Ninth Amendment’s unidentified enumeration of rights:

[T[he Ninth Amendment constitutes a “license to constitutional decisionmakers [sic] to look beyond the substantive commands of the constitutional text to protect fundamental rights not expressed therein.” Rights to abortion, contraception, homosexual behavior, and similar sexual privacy rights have already been imposed by judges detecting such rights in the Ninth Amendment.1

Because the framers failed to expressly establish the Constitution on Biblical ethics, the Ninth Amendment was inevitably interpreted to include the above list, as well as other Biblical infractions.

The latest to come from the rights culture created by the framers is the right of young men who claim to be transgender to share locker rooms, bathrooms, and even showers with girls in our public schools.

 Cause and Effect

These “whirlwind” rights are the consequence of the “wind” rights established by the framers in the Bill of Rights. Most Christians believe the rights found in the first Ten Amendments are God-given. But there are two problems with this cherished idea:

1) The Constitution knows nothing of God (except perhaps as the Paper’s timekeeper in Article 7).

2) God and His Word know nothing of optional rights. Instead, the Bible is replete with non-optional responsibilities:

The Scriptures provide no evidence of God-given (or unalienable) rights. Even life and liberty are not rights, but rather responsibilities delegated by Yahweh.2 Of course, rights are much more popular than responsibilities. Everyone, including homosexuals and infant murderers, demand their rights. Few are interested in fulfilling their responsibilities.3

America was sold down the river when the framers replaced God-expected responsibilities with optional rights, which are easily suppressed by whatever government is in power at the time. There’s no better example than the Second Amendment and its wording “shall not be infringed.” The Second Amendment is the most infringed, licensed, and limited Amendment of the entire twenty-seven.4

Rights vs. Righteousness

Rights have also contributed to an irresponsible and, in turn, pompously cavalier public that is more interested in exercising its “rights” than in living responsibly, especially in relation to a sovereign God.

People who demand their rights are like children, focused only on themselves. People who pursue righteousness are focused on Yahweh and their fellow man. The former promote a government of, by, and for the people; the latter promote a government of, by, and for Yahweh.5

In theory, rights are one of the “holy grails” of American Republicanism. In reality, they’re just another example of the framers’ apostasy, which continues to reap the whirlwind.

In obedience to the Third Commandment and the many Scriptures that charge us to proclaim, swear by, praise, extol, call upon, bless, glorify, and hold fast to His name, we have chosen to memorialize His name here in this document and in our lives. Good article Ted….You once stated this in another response about “Responsibilities”, our responsibilities and cited Genesis 1 and 2. I then went back and re-read (TRUST but VERIFY) and “Yes”; when we look at what Yahweh gave and EXPECTED to and from Adam and Eve, Noah, and Moses, Abraham and many others; Covenants, GOD’s Promises FULFILLED to us when we OBEY his COMMANDMENTS; it is NOT ABOUT RIGHTS!

When we take that into account and look further, in comparison, it becomes obvious that the TRUTH is Man gives us “RIGHTS”; what “RIGHTS” man can give, man can also STRIP AWAY. YAHWEH uses EVIL men to TEACH us, the ramifications of NOT OBEYING. So given Today’s America, one must ask ourselves the “WHY” of the current pResident of the United States (the p is silent)……all we have to do is look at our current Social state, to get HIS answer……..GOD is NEVER CHANGING…..SAME AS HE EVER WAS……Perfect (Gr. telios- COMPLETE).

    • Snowman, thanks for you input.

When it comes to Obama and why he resides in the White House–yes, it does have to do with our current social state. However, the genesis is found in the framers rejection of Yahweh’s everlasting righteousness and immutable morality as the basis for government and society. Obama and the rest of cronies in both state and federal government are the inevitable consequence of particularly the framers’ ban of Christian tests and thereby Biblical qualifications.

        • John, Is it his right because of who is or is it an ordained responsibility from Yahweh as the patriarch in waiting? To answer that question, ask yourself whether he’ll have to answer to Yahweh for improperly using it (keeping in mind Matthew 15:1-6 & 1 Timothy 5:8).

Excellent and concise article Ted. Your insights here will continue to inform and guide my own writing and blogging in coming months. Yes, America has lost her way. Authentic men of God have largely lost their way too and are largely clueless what their God-given roles are in both society and the family and so have abdicated those masculine, providing, protective, teaching and leading roles to their ignorant, foolish and rebellious women and children. He who has sown the wind is now reaping the whirlwind of his folly. Real men understand that their responsibilities are many and their rights are non-existent. but we seem to have gotten things 180 degrees opposite of what God’s word teaches us.

As a not particularly religious being and having read several versions and translations of the bible and torahs some of the kabbalah and much on the background of Wicca. The most disturbing is the koran. In all my readings to understand I find that most religious views that man answers to god not another man. If a god demands that man obey then man has a choice. If man has choice and he must have a right to make that choice. The basic right is implied from the demands that his god makes. The oldest translation I have had the privlage was from greek and viewed several interpretations, all different. My conclusion is that all writings made by man and his own interpretations and could or couldn’t be correct. How then can you make your conclusions you put on this site?

  6. ConservaDave2 says:

Do you advocate for the establishment of a theocracy? Perhaps the word “freedoms” should be substituted for the word “rights,” with the only one of the above listed being in the Constitution being “religious rights” (freedoms). The founders, mostly godly men, tried to establish a government under which men had the freedom to live without the fear of tyrannical oppression and made no attempt to incorporate directly God’s laws into it. They also realized that the only way that this experiment would work was if the people had a conscience to God and tried to live by His standards. It was a new world where man was free to pursue the knowledge of God. The idealism with which this government was framed is probably the best the world has had to offer since before Israel rejected Yahweh as their King and demanded a human to rule over them (1 Samuel 8).

    • Dave, thank you for joining the discussion.

There are no moral vacuums in society; consequently, everyone advocates theocracy.

When one understands that the principal means by which we keep the First Commandment is by observing Yahweh’s other moral laws and that idolatry is not so much about statues as it is statutes, it becomes clear that all governments are theocratic, serving either the true God or some false god, demonstrated by what laws they keep and consider the supreme law of the land.

Furthermore, all non-existent false gods (1Corinthians 8:4-6) always have been and always will represent we the people in one form or another. (See our latest blog article “Could You Be a Disciple of Baal and Not Know It?” at http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/could-you-be-a-disciple-of-baal-and-not-know-it/.)

“…There is no escaping theocracy. A government’s laws reflect its morality, and the source of that morality (or, more often than not, immorality) is its god. It is never a question of theocracy or no theocracy, but whose theocracy. The
American people, by way of their elected officials, are the source of the
Constitutional Republic’s laws. Therefore, the Constitutional Republic’s god is
      WE THE PEOPLE.

“People recoil at the idea of a theocracy’s morality being forced upon them, but because all governments are theocracies, someone’s morality is always being enforced. This is an inevitability of government. The question is which god, theocracy, laws, and morality will we choose to live under?…”

  7. GRAMPA says:

Rights! We have only unalienable rights. Our constitution does not give rights and the rights given by government may be rescinded at any time. The constitution was penned to protect our unalienable rights and control the powers of government. Keep it that simple and everyone can understand that we enjoy our rights thru the power of the American people. We by the second Amendment have the power to protect all the other rights. While our government may not pass laws respecting religion it says nothing of anyone exercising their rights and use their religion. We do have too many who use the Constitution out of context. Because most dont understand our constitution and its intended use we see that they are easily misled to believing it gives the determination of rights to the government. Because this is the view of the majority of Americans we are no longer a free nation.
    Grampa

    • Grampa, thanks for joining the discussion.

Where does the Bible speak of unalienable rights?

      • GRAMPA says:

It doesn’t Our constitution guarantees and recognizes that our rights are derived from god and that a government may not change or govern away that right. I know of no law of man that gave me life so it must have been given by the god I believe in. I have been given laws to live by but have been given the choice if I choose to use them that choice is the right given by god. The bible is a book written by man who we must accept or not by our faith if it was inspired by god. So anything written by mans hand can not give us our rights. So back to our constitution we have unalienable rights. My pain killers are kicking in so I hope I got that right.
        Grampa

        • If I got what you’re saying correct, I take it you don’t believe in the infallible, inspired Word of God?

Exactly what God do you believe in?

A god or supreme being or one of the thousands I have read about. I was raised Christan and went to church every Sunday.
As i grew older i started reading all the books on every religion more for understanding than beliefs. I have close friends from many faiths and can see their point of view on their faith. What I have no faith in is books written by man. Many have value and have lessons worth listening to but to follow their words as the word of god I cannot do. I live by conscience and treat others with respect. I run my company as honestly as I am able and have employees that have the same standards. In doing so I use no advertising for I work on a word of mouth recommendation and have no problem competing. I received my morals from my parents and not from any fear of an end judgement. I offer others no advice for as a believer in a free will it is up to them to seek their truth. I raised my daughters with the same moral standards I received. Provided them access to my library ob books if they choose to use and believe in them. so you might say I believe in none and all of them for I have seen proof of none of them but one only need to look around asn see we have something greater than man.

  8. Bill says:

A man has the right to do anything he wants, and a responsibility for each right that he exercises.

    • Bill, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

You wrote that man has a RIGHT to do anything he wants. Where do those rights originate? If you would say with God, then wouldn’t we have to go to the Bible to verify those rights? Where in the Bible are rights addressed?

Does that right to do anything man wants (which sounds like humanism, per Judges 21:25) include such things as a right to blaspheme God, or a right to murder his wife, or a right to commit adultery or sodomy? How are these rights you speak of determined?

      • Bill says:

Did not God give man a free will to choose? We pay for our choices and have a responsibility to accept the payment since we made the choice. Will we not be judged for our sins? If so then we cannot cry about it. We have a tendency to know whether something we do is right or not. It is called conscience. Some folks could care less. I have not studied the subject as closely as you have, so I would probably lose any debate on the subject. I just know that for any right we have, we also have a responsibility to ensure that we do no trampled on those of others.

        • There are two inherent problems with the idea of God-given Constitutional rights: 1) Except perhaps as the Paper’s timekeeper in Article 7, the Constitution knows nothing of God, and 2) God and His Word know nothing of optional rights. Instead, the Bible is replete with God-expected responsibilities.

See “Rights, Rights, Everyone Wants Their Rights” at http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/rights-rights-everyone-wants-their-rights/.

          • Bill says:

I will not argue the Bible with you. I have my beliefs, and you have yours. As for the Constitution, it is an inanimate object, written by men, most of whom knew something of God. I believe they had a belief that if there was a way for men to live peaceably among themselves it would be under this document.
Because the notion of rights has been bastardized by every group that believes theirs outrank others, is no reason to lose faith in the document. It has well served the country for over 200 years. I swore an oath to my God 52 years ago to uphold the Constitution and the liberties protected by it. I have no reason to foreswear from it today. As a matter of fact, I will fight and die if necessary to see the country back on the path built by the Constitution.

          • Regrettably, your oath was to a document that is antithetical, if not seditious, to Yahweh’s sovereignty and morality in nearly every Article and Amendment. See “Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective” at http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org/BlvcOnline/blvc-index.html.

Even if these sins of commission weren’t in play, the late 1700 founders’ sins of omission were enough to send America to the precipice of moral depravity and destruction she precipitously teeters on today:

“…3. Every problem America faces today can be traced back to the fact
that the framers failed to expressly establish a government upon
Yahweh’s immutable morality as codified in His commandments, statutes,
and judgments. (Would infanticide and sodomy be tolerated, let alone
financed by the government, if Yahweh’s perfect law and altogether
righteous judgments were the law of the land? Would Islam be a looming
threat to our peace and security if the First Amendment had been
replaced with the First Commandment? Would Americans be in nearly as
much debt if usury had been outlawed as a form of theft? Would crime be
as rampant if “cruel and unusual punishment” had not been outlawed and
criminals were instead punished with Yahweh’s altogether righteous

The ONLY one with a RIGHT to life is Yahweh our Creator. For the rest of us, life is a gift and responsibility to be used, on His behalf and to His glory. If it were merely a right, we could not be judged on what we do with it.

      • Dale Patterson says:

I do not believe that those things which happen today were even thought of during the time that the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution was written… The most important thing of that time was to throw off the chains that England had put upon us, to relieve ourselves of religious limitation and persecution, and to kick the British troops out of our colonies… And, don’t forget, we had to do it all over again in 1812…

        • It doesn’t matter whether they were thought of at the time or not. It doesn’t just change the fact that those, and many other atrocities, became inevitable when the late 18th-century founders replaced the 17th-century governments of, by, and for God based upon His immutable moral law with their own humanistic government of, by, and for the people based upon capricious Enlightenment and Masonic concepts.

          • Dale Patterson says:

What attrocities do you speak of, Ted ?

          • Anything going on today on a national basis opposed to Yahweh’s morality as a consequence of the late 18th-century founders not establishing Yahweh’s moral law as the supreme law of the land. Obama, for example. He could have never become President had the framers, in Article 6, not banned Christian tests and with them biblical qualifications for civil rulers.

    • President John Adams wrote that: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

This is an accurate quotation. However, it’s often employed by Christians as if Adams was referring to Christianity and Yahweh’s morality as codified in His
commandments, statutes, and judgments. This is untrue. Adams emphasized that the same “moral liberty resides in Hindoos and Mohametans, as well as in
Christians” (John Adams, Letter no. 13 to John Taylor (1814), in “Works of John Adams,” 6:474.)

He once asked, “Where is to be found theology more orthodox or phylosophy [sic] more profound than in the introduction to the [Hindu] Shast[r]a?” (John Adams, December 25, 1813, letter to Jefferson, in “Adams-Jefferson Letters,” 2:412.)

According to Adams, “religion and virtue are the only foundations, not only of republicanism and all free government, but of social felicity under all governments and in all the combinations of human society.” (August 28, 1811, letter to Benjamin Rush, in “Works of John Adams,” 9:636.)

Any nation’s constitution and government benefits from moral Christian citizens, even those nations whose constitution are not based upon Yahweh’s morality as found in His perfect law and altogether righteous judgments (Psalm 19:7-9) – such as the United States of America. However, when such constitutions are not based upon Yahweh’s law, it is inevitable that such nations will become more and more immoral and corrupt, being they do not have a Biblical standard to fall back upon. Case in point, the United States of America today.

Dr. Frazer proves from the key founders’ own writings that they were neither Deists in the purest sense of the word, nor were they Christians in the Biblical sense of the word. Instead, they were Theistic Rationalists.

I am a student of the works of John Adams, and of his disagreements with the Honorable Thomas Jefferson… And I fully concur with the above…

        • Which only further condemns your as a biblical heretic.

          • Dale Patterson says:

That’s a strong statement coming from someone who’s only proven so far to be no better than a Pharisee… You’re nit-picking our nation’s founding documents and the founding fathers as though they alone are to blame for all the bad tbings which have precipitated to date…

Call others heretics and make ad hominem attacks, and not even consider all the godless acts on the part of so many more who’ve brought this country to where it is today…

            That’s short-sighted and full of hubris…

          • Call it what you want–although it’s anything but Phraseesm–to agree with the writings of other heretics is to be a heretic yourself.

    • G Oleg says:

Ted, whatever God “breathes” onto US is a GOD GIVEN RIGHT!
There is a general and major confusion between God and government. God created man and gave him access to knowledge of good and evil without the need for man having to actually experience it …The Framers paved the way for The Right gov’t.
It is NOT The Framers that failed US, your insistance that they did will get you back to babylon (better known as european gov’ts) or nowhere!… it is the synagogues, it is the churches, but most effectively it is the parenting based on golden calves and cash cows.

      • I beg to differ. If it’s my right, he has no right to take it from me. Like I said, life a gift and a responsibility God has rights, we have responsibilities. See blog article “Rights, Rights, Everyone Wants Their Rights” at http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/rights-rights-everyone-wants-their-rights/.

“Babylon”? Where do you think we’re at now?

Right government!?! How can a government based upon a Constitution that antithetical, if not seditious, to Yahweh’s sovereignty and morality in nearly every Article and Amendment be a right government?

For a right(eous) government, see blog article “375 Years Later: Constitution vs. Constitution” at http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/375-years-later-constitution-vs-constitution/.

        • G Oleg says:

Well, the right was PERMANENT until God’s law was disobeyed, curiosity through disobedience of The Creator killed the cat …but The Offer is still there to all who obey (religion) or simply live per God’s way (morality).

          • No, the gift was permanent. We never had a right to anything!

Rights come from Enlightenment nonsense. Responsibilities come from the God and His Word.

We were sold down the river when the late 1700 founders replaced God-expected biblical responsibilities for optional Enlightenment rights, which are easily controlled by whatever government that happens to be in power at the time.

We don’t need to look any further than the Amendment with the wording “shall not be infringed.” The Second Amendment is MOST infringed, licensed, and limited Amendment of the entire twenty seven. Furthermore, a future generation of our posterity
is likely to see it completely whittled away or repealed altogether.
This is the inherent nature and danger of optional rights versus
God-expected responsibilities, such as the following:

“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house [beginning with spiritual and physical protection], he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” (1 Timothy 5:8)

          • G Oleg says:

It’s a simple lesson, what God giveth, God can taketh …and no one else!
From man’s perspective life is a GOD GIVEN RIGHT …The Second Amendment is an EARNED RIGHT (via responsibilities through GOOD citizenship or citizenship the RIGHT way …nearly everything done today is through the wrong way).

          • The Second Amendment codifies an optional Enlightenment right. It’s your choice as to whether you arm yourself in order to protect yourself and family. According to the Bible, you’re worse than an infidel if you don’t.

          • G Oleg says:

Most people don’t need anybody to “officially” inform them they have a right to use any means necessary to protect themselves, family and friends (or a GOOD community) …but tell that to the church.

          • Responsibility, not right.

          • G Oleg says:

Family, friends and especially a community are not a responsibility, We do not create them, We live or share our lives with them …We are strongly attached to them, so it is a RIGHT to protect them, similar to protecting parts of Our own bodies and much more!

          • Once again, you do not have an optional right to defend your family or neighbor, it is your God-expected responsibility:

“…’If the bystander has an obligation to render aid ‘with all
lost things” of another man [Deuteronomy 22:1-3], he has an even more
pressing obligation to help rescue the man. Thus, this principle of
responsibility appears in Deuteronomy 22:24. A woman assaulted in a city
is presumed to have given consent if she does not raise a cry, the
origin of the hue and cry common law. At her cry, every man within sound
of her voice has a duty to render immediate aid….11

“An eyewitness to a crime has an
obligation to the victim and to society to intervene and stop the
perpetrator. How many crimes would be averted if thieves, rapists, and
murderers knew every able Christian man would do whatever necessary to
stop them? How much more so, if every law-abiding man also carried a
firearm, as per Psalm 149 and Luke 22, for his own protection and the
protection of his family and neighbors? Armed citizens are much more
likely to intervene and arrest lawbreakers than are those who are
            unarmed….”

For more, see online Chapter 12 “Amendment 2: Constitutional or Biblical Self-Defense” of “Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective” at http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org/BlvcOnline/biblelaw-constitutionalism-pt12.html.

          • G Oleg says:

A responsibility is more optional than a right, so when it comes to life
man has The RIGHT …from man’s perspective life and death
“responsibility” applies to strangers (as so well shown in your
examples), the man you mentioned could be a victim fighting off an
attacker, the woman you mentioned could be mute or muted …since the
bystander knows neither it is his responsibility involve The Law ASAP
(and unless it is obvious who the criminal(s) is, stop the harm to both
if he can do so without further harm to all involved …otherwise it’s
the bystander’s responsibility to render aid to the person deserving it
or to neither because both could be equally immoral). But if the
bystander does know them it is his RIGHT to render immediate aid for the
            known good (or better person).

          • Huh!?!

This is not meant to engender a response. Best we stop here. This is beginning to devolve into a violation of Titus 3:9.

          • G Oleg says:

Well I for one don’t converse with walls, likewise with Titus 3:9.

          • the cat's name is Bob says:

Job knew where persecution comes from, men with guns don’t.

I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. – Deuteronomy 32:39 KJB

That says, if God wants me alive, I need no gun.
If God wants me dead, a gun will do me no good.

It also means that the fate of Job’s children did not make him an infidel.

The same hedge is around mine.

And their fate is in the same hands as Job’s children were.

          • the cat's name is Bob says:

Where do you find a weapon in this Scripture?

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
            – 1Timothy 5:8 KJB

          • Before answering your question, I would first ask you: Do you have a problem with my “adding” the phrase “beginning with spiritual protection” to the principle of 1 Timothy 5:8, based upon what’s found in other passages? I would hope not, particularly with Psalm 119:160 NASB (“the sum of God’s word is truth”) in mind. Is not any man (particularly a Christian) worse than an infidel who does not provide spiritual protection for his family?

The same holds true for physical protection. Any man unwilling to do whatever is necessary to protect his family is worse than infidel.

I would encourage you to take the same approach as King Hezekiah when Sennecherib, King of Assyria, had Jerusalem surrounded. Hezekiah began by telling his army that the battle belonged to Yahweh. In other words, their faith was to rest in Yahweh’s protection and deliverance, not their own. Then Hezekiah had them do everything they could to prepare themselves to be used by Yahweh in case His plan was to use them to defeat the Assyrians. However, in this particular instance, Yahweh chose to use one angel to kill 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night. In many other instances, Yahweh’s deliverance was accomplished through men and their arms.

Re: NASB – I use no modern perversion of God’s Word.

We get versions of the truth from children, lawyers, criminals, politicians, and unbelieving bible ‘scholars’

          • You never answered my question.

Here’s another one for you: Is the sum of God’s Word on any particular doctrine or subject found therein truth?

By the way, you DO believe what you described as a “modern perversion of God’s Word.” You actually condemn yourself with your own doctrine anytime you explain to someone else a word or words found in the Bible with another word of your own choosing.

          • the cat's name is Bob says:

            I did answer you.

You did NOT understand the answer.

Nor did you like the answer.

***Is not any man (particularly a Christian) worse than an infidel who does not provide spiritual protection for his family?***

You obviously have no understanding of the difference between spiritual and physical.

Your answer states that a gun is spiritual protection.

            That is ridiculous.

            Deuteronomy 32:39 IS spiritual protection.

            Same protection Job had.

Same protection any man of God has.

            Same protection no gunslinger has.

            Gunslingers don’t believe Deuteronomy 32:39.

          • Well, let’s see if you cannot help make it more clear for me. I’ll repeat it and a simply “yes” or “no” would suffice:

Do you have a problem with my “adding” the phrase “beginning with spiritual protection” to the principle of 1 Timothy 5:8, based upon what’s found in other passages?

Also: Is not any man (particularly a Christian) worse than an infidel who does not provide spiritual protection for his family?

          • the cat's name is Bob says:

            I have answered you…

Tell me, and the One who PROVIDES it, that Deuteronomy 32:39 is not the applicable protection.

            Tell us that.

          • Yes or No, Bob, that’s all I’m asking.

“Amen!” and “Praise Yahweh for Deuteronomy 32:39!”

Now, will YOU “Amen!” Psalm 149:6-9?

          • the cat's name is Bob says:

            Absolutely, right after you amen…

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
            – Matthew 5:38 & 39 KJB

Where HE separates the OT from the NEW.

Tell US, that doesn’t mean what it says.

US as in me and HIM.

          • You cherry picking hypocrite! Why then are using Deuteronomy 32:39?

“Amen!” and “Amen!” to Matthew 5:38-39, by the way!

I’ve tried Proverbs 26:5 with you. Time for Proverbs 26:4.

          • Dale Patterson says:

be careful that your argument does not becom tainted with ad hominem attacks… for, in that moment, you will defeat yourself… if we are truly intended to turn the other cheek, this is certainly a good time for it…

          • Dale Patterson says:

be careful that your argument does not become tainted with ad hominem attacks…

          • Dale Patterson says:

Ted, you still base your entire argument on the assumption that the Bill of Rights and The Constitution ARE the Law…
Neither of them are, or were…
They were constructed to give notice to the king of England, and all others, of the rights given to us by our creator with the stipulation that these rights were in-a-lien-able… No man can put a value or a price on them, nor can any man infringe on them…

          • The only place that claims rights are inalienable is in antichrist’s Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence. The god and creator he speaks of is the the God of the Bible but the generic, polytheistic god of the Freemasons and Enlightenment boys.

If you’re going to try to convince me that rights come from God, you’re going to have to prove it to me from the Bible.

          • Dale Patterson says:

I would submit that the Bible may not be the only God inspired document on this earth… In fact, the reason that the founding fathers gave for the way they wrote these articles was that there may be reason to believe that God manifest Himself differently to different peoples…

The one thing that we need to remember most is that Jesus said, “Love one another as you love yourselves.”… we are not supposed to get legalistic about things, but are supposed to allow each other a little bit of room… Legalism does not afford that room… In fact, laws that have been written by man since have caused less and less room between our fellow man and us…

Self protection is a God given right, or as you would put it a privilege given to us with a responsibility… And I would contend, that so are our own lives…

We are each given a life, that in man’s world is a right given by God… However, between us and God, it is a privilege that he can not only give but can also take away…

However, you must keep in mind that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were not written for God, but were written for man to make sure that government has its limitations… These rights are codified in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution to make sure that the government cannot take these things away from us…

I understand your anger against Thomas Jefferson, and against others of the Masonic Order… But I’m not sure that you fully comprehend that they understood just like you and I do that everything comes from God, everything is given to us and taken away by God, and man can have nothing to do with it… therefore, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution told the government what it cannot do… They continue to tell the government what it cannot do, today…

And in spite of that fact, Barack Obama and four or five presidents before him have made sure that they break any and every law they possibly can behind the cover of darkness… in fact, you can go back as far as 1902 see that rich men influenced the election of the highest offices of the land, and broke our system… It was they, not the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, not the founding fathers, who have put us where we are today…

I would respectfully submit that you spend less time worrying about whether the Bill of Rights and the Constitution are congruent with God’s law, and focus on the damaging effect caused by men since their creation… It wasn’t even ten years after ratification of these rights by Congress that men and governments and men in economic power began to ruin it… When asked what the Congress had done after the signing of the founding documents in Philadelphia, it was Benjamin Franklin who said, “You have a Constitutional Republic, if you can keep it.”

Those documents, codify our God given rights before man and before government… They do not codify our relationship with God, that’s the Bible’s job… However, man is obligated to follow God’s law, and it is clear that this country was never intended or designed to be run by those who are godless…

          • Your first paragraph explains a lot. I’m sorry you can’t have it both ways. I suggest you consider carefully the following passages:

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (1 John 14:6)

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” (2 John 1:7-11)

Your theology is heretical to the Bible. With this in mind, please read our Comment Policy (http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/comment-policy/), part of which reads:

            “Anyone
is welcome to post here, regardless of race, religion, or lifestyle.
However, in keeping with the First Commandment (“Thou shalt have no
other god besides me”), any promotion or justification for any
non-Christian religion, including atheism and cults (such as
            Catholicism, Mormonism, Jehovah Witness, etc.)….”

Consequently, you’ll be blocked from participating on this blog if you persist in promoting such heresy as found in your last post.

Are you, by chance, Mormon or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints?

          • Dale Patterson says:

Ted, I’m a born again believer with a head on my shoulders… I believe that Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life and no man comes to the Father but by him… The Bible says in Revelations that we should not take away anything or add anything… And there’s a penalty for that… However, the Bible does not say that it is the only spoken word of God… In fact, it says that Jesus Christ is THE WORD…

So, who are we to say how God manifests Himself to other people in other places?… I certainly don’t believe that some angel came down and gave somebody else another book that doesn’t agree with what the Bible says… but, I’m smart enough to leave that up to God…

However, I see where you’re going with this… If someone disagrees with you in a way that you cannot prove your own., you would delete them?… Sounds like the act of a Pharisee to me… Legalism seems to be your strong point, not necessarily the Bible… And while I have enjoyed reading what you have written, & I even agree with most of what you have said, there is one thing that you cannot deny… God is in his heaven, HE is the last word, not you or I…

so, go on with your legalistic banter, I’m going to go on with my life… That’s a right given by God, you know?

          • Dale, if you or anyone else intends to promote a different gospel than that found in the Word of God (which is what your first paragraph in your previous post appears to be doing), don’t think for a moment that I’m going to allow you this forum to further your heresy in violation of the First Commandment.

Also, you might want to check your idea of Phariseeism against the following:

“Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:6-9)

The Pharisees, much the same as the late 18th-century founders, were those who replaced the law of God for their own traditions. Your definition of a Pharisee would condemn Christ as such for having strictly adhered to His Father’s moral law.

One of the worst interpretations of the bible and the constitution I have ever read

  12. Larry Johnstone says:

Here is where rights are given by God, just as the D of I declares.

    Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful , and multiply , and replenish the earth, and subdue it : and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

    • Was the dominion mandate optional? If not it was a responsibility not a right, with repercussions for not fulfilling it if not fulfilled, such as at the Tower of Babel. If it was an optional right, there would be no judgment involved.

And where in the Declaration is there anything close to what’s found in Genesis 1:28?

      • Larry Johnstone says:

Read the D of I …very clear as to where rights come from.
Of course dominion is optional, a person can die not choosing to take dominion.

Utter nonsense to say men have no rights when its obvious all men have a right of choice for everything he wants or becomes

      • Larry Johnstone says:

Your claim of we have no rights only responsibility is too dumb to waste time on

        • Idols die hard!

In Acts 19, the Ephesians cried out for two solid hours “Great is Dinah of the Ephesians!” Americans, ironically led by Christians, have been crying out “Great is the Constitution of the Americans!” for 226 years!

This, despite the fact there’s hardly an Article or Amendment that’s not antithetical, if not seditious, to Yahweh’s sovereignty and morality. (For evidence, see free online book “Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective,” in which every Article and Amendment is examined by the Bible, at http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org/BlvcOnline/blvc-index.html.)

Keep in mind that idolatry is not so much about statues as it is statutes, such as what one considers the supreme law of the land.

          • It certainly is the codification of the Creator’s will, in judgment of nation in rebellion to His sovereignty and His moral law as supreme.

Our right to live, our right to existence is given to us by our Creator and by our ability to protect ourselves… Many people have a problem establishing who that creator is, so our founding fathers made it a little too flexible… it was never supposed to be flexible, it was supposed to be concrete…

On the other hand, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution do not give those rights, but codify what our rights are so, that men who are not religious or believe in a Creator can understand it…

Therein lies the problem, there are too many godless people who don’t believe in a creator, and don’t believe in the shining light on the hill… They simply want to destroy it…

  15. Nemo says:

Wrong. Some people only want rights for themselves, but that is not true of everyone. I myself don’t agree with every single view that Pamela Geller has ever expressed, but I fully support her rights to free speech. Same for you.

    • Nemo, thanks for responding.

If you knew more of Pamela Geller, you’d perhaps think twice about supporting her right to free speech.

That aside, there are more important reasons to promote Biblical responsibilities over Enlightenment rights. See blog article “Rights: Man’s Sacrilegious Claim to Divinity” at http://www.constitutionmythbusters.org/rights-mans-sacrilegious-claim-to-divinity/.

Has anyone had their legs broken or pockets picked because of the spoken words of Pamela Geller? Sure she says some crazy stuff, but has she ever use her spoken words to inflict harm on any person?

As for your other post, until you can demonstrate with evidence that any of the theological claims of the Bible are true, the natural rights theorist and the totalitarian theocrat can only debate which system of government yields the best outcome for everybody. Overwhelmingly, the nations in which individuals are allowed to act as individuals and make their own choices are the nations which prosper the most. So either your god does not exist, does exist and is doesn’t care, or does exist and whole heartedly supports individual freedom.

        • He does exist and he does care as demonstrated in Deuteronomy 28, etc.

Yahweh blesses nations when they look to Him as sovereign and His moral law as supreme (Deuteronomy 28:1-14). Thus, America was blessed, prospered, and became great because of the 17th-century Colonials whose governments of, by, and for God were established expressly in His moral law.

Yahweh curses nations who reject Him as sovereign and His law as supreme (Deuteronomy 28:15-69). Thus, America began to cursed in 1787 when the late 18th-century founders replaced the 17th-century Colonial governments for their own humanistic government of, by, and for the people.

God is longsuffering and thus America was cursed (lost her blessed state) only incrementally at first. But without repenting of the founders sedition against Yahweh, it was inevitable that America would find herself where she does today, teetering on the precipice of moral depravity and destruction.

You might consider Alexis de Tocqueville’s testimony, particularly its fulfillment of Deuteronomy 4, with no indication from him that he had this passage in mind when he wrote the following. First Deuteronomy 4:

“Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as Yahweh my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as Yahweh our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?” (Deuteronomy 4:5-8)

“…Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America, 1835 : ‘They [the 17th-century Colonials] exercised the rights of sovereignty; they named their magistrates, concluded peace or declared
war, made police regulations, and enacted laws as if their allegiance was due only to God. Nothing can be more curious and, at the same time more instructive, than the legislation of that period; it is there that the solution of the great social problem which the United States now presents to the world is to be found [in perfect fulfillment of Deuteronomy 4:5-8,).

“Amongst these documents we shall notice, as especially characteristic, the code of laws promulgated by the little State of Connecticut in 1650. The legislators of Connecticut begin with the penal laws, and … they borrow their provisions from the text of Holy Writ … copied verbatim from the books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy.…’23

“America was exalted in the eyes of the world because of her applied righteousness, embodied in Yahweh’s perfect law. Since 1788, when the United States of America, as a nation, stopped following Yahweh’s laws and began following the laws of WE THE PEOPLE, our legislation has ceased providing righteous
instruction to others. Instead, the rest of the world now holds America in disdain. If America hopes to regain her favored status in the eyes of the world, she must return to her original Constitution….”

          • Nemo says:

The Book of Deuteronomy is a claim, not evidence nor a demonstration of anything other than the political agenda of the priests under King Josiah.

America teetering on the edge of destruction? Hardly. While it is true that America might be having some money troubles as a result of pointless foreign adventures, you don’t need some external deity to explain that. In fact, America today is more powerful and influential than it was at the time the Constitution was written. Lower class Americans enjoy a better standard of living than the upper class Americans of two and a half centuries ago. Cursed? Hardly.

I read your link. It seems that you are redefining the word “god” in order to redefine “theocracy”. It doesn’t matter how high an opinion a population collectively has of themselves; if they do not believe that they, collectively, are supernatural, immortal, transcendent beings with creative and reality warping powers, they do not believe they are gods. You also assert that any government that isn’t based on the Torah (the New Testament says little about government other than that Christians should obey whatever government they find themselves under, even a pagan Roman goverment) is humanist, but that’s not true either. Muslims believe that God is supreme and that they must submit to him (and of course they think God is a male because who do you think wrote the Quran?). Islamic theocracies, then, doggedly cling to an imagined authority of the Quran and actively disregard the humanist principles which allowed Europe to export its culture and power throughout the world.

Regarding the first point listed, it is also false that any law must be religious in nature. In liberal societies, you only need laws to prevent people from hurting each other. People are then free to live by any additional laws they like. Now, I know you’re going to insist that such a system can never work because of course humans are depraved creatures who need controls, but history has demonstrated time and again that it is controls that create depraved people.

Point 4 is true only if you define religion as anything you happen to believe. Since sociologists do not, I see no reason to.

Point 5 is the most blatant lie in the list. You are free to believe in the Bible, and live your life according to it. You have every right to swing your Torah fist, as long as it doesn’t connect with someone else’s face.

          • Thanks for you input. Obviously, are paradigms are so divergent it’s not likely we’re going to find any common ground that would merit continuing. Not that such a discussion wouldn’t be interesting, but my schedule just doesn’t permit me to invest the time in something I have little confidence of going anywhere productive.

  16. Jeb says:

The way you’re talking suggests that you believe governments have the right to do anything they want, and individuals are to obey their dictators like good little robots. The founders of our government were dedicated, going to great pains to try to create a form of government where the government answered to the people rather than vice versa. They literally risked their lives when they rebelled against King George III, who they regarded as tyrannical (and I agree).

Benjamin Franklin stated when he signed the Constitution that he was reluctantly signing it because he knew that it would eventually evolve into tyranny, which it obviously has. Thomas Jefferson and John Adams said something similar. If you read the statements of the founding fathers, you can see very plainly that their intentions were to have a free country.

The problem isn’t with the Constitution, but with human nature. Positions of power attract sociopaths. Most of these people were reluctant politicians, they didn’t want to rule anyone. The politicians today are completely different. They love ruling over the peons and milking them like a herd of farm animals. On this website you’re misrepresenting what the founding fathers were writing about when they talked about God given rights. Most of what is on the list above wasn’t even around in the beginning of the country. In the Frontier days it was sink or swim, just like the Bible says …if a man will not work neither should he eat. The unalienable rights in the Constitution weren’t referring to getting something for free or having the right to literally do anything.

Our government today is nothing like what it was when it started. What we have today is a bunch of opportunistic, self serving, control freak, career politicians who regard the public with contempt, and have self appointed themselves as our rulers, rather than our proxy trustees, hired by the people to mind the store.

It’s interesting, if you read Thomas Jefferson’s warnings, they describe exactly what’s going on in our country right now.

Another issue is that because someone is not a Christian, doesn’t mean that they are evil or oppose God. ( I’m talking about your criticism of some of the founders not being Christians) What it may mean is that they are separated from God for their sins and are ignorant of the truth. I’ve known a lot of Christians and what I noticed is that some non Christians are less self centered, have more discipline and are more caring of other people than some of the people that claim to be Christians. Sitting in a church doesn’t make you a Christian, what you do 24 hours a day is what can make you a Christian.

Where I might agree with you is that I believe a large percentage of the population worship the government and have replaced God with the government.

    • Jeb, thanks for joining the discussion.

For you to conclude as you have in your first paragraph suggests that you and I may be on two different planets. It certainly reveals that you are not at all understanding what you’re reading.

Question: Is government best kept under control by optional Enlightenment rights or non-optional Biblical responsibilities?

The government answering the people–government of, by, and for the people–is precisely the reason America finds herself today teetering on the precipice of moral depravity and destruction. We are where we are today because the late 18th-founders replaced the 17th-century governments of, by, and for God established on His immutable moral law–people responsible to God–for their own humanistic government of, by, and for the people based upon Enlightenment and Masonic concepts.

Benjamin Franklin was correct, it was inevitable that such a government as created by the late 18th-century founders would evolve into tyranny. This is what comes of all governments not of, by, and for God, but instead the people.

The problem isn’t the Constitution!?! Just how would you then describe a document that in nearly every Article and Amendment is antithetical, if not seditious, to Yahweh’s sovereignty and morality. For evidence, see free online book “Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective,” in which every Article and Amendment is examined by the Bible, at http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org/BlvcOnline/blvc-index.html.

And just how do you supposed we ended up with today’s batch of nincompoops, scoundrels, and outright criminals in civil leadership? Do you think Article 9’s Christian test ban by which biblical qualifications were all but eliminated had anything to do with it?

You are correct about the fact that the most of the enumerated rights weren’t in existence in the late 18th-century. So what? Did you even take the time to read and digest Hosea 8:1, 7 that introduced this article? Today’s rights culture is the whirlwind resulting from the wind sown by the founders when they replaced God-expected Biblical responsibilities with alleged God-given Enlightenment rights.

Replacing God with government is what naturally comes from a government of, by, and for the people instead of government of, by, and for God.

      • Jeb says:

Your comments contradict historical facts. Our country isn’t in it’s current condition because of the Constitution, it’s in the condition because our government has not followed the Constitution. Even when the founders were still alive they said there were already politicians who wanted the government to have more authority over the people.

Not letting the southern States secede from the Union was a violation of the Constitution. The creation of a foreign banking cartel (the Federal Reserve) in secret and having it loan money printed out of thin air, committing treason and fraud against the people, a violation of the Constitution. This gives the federal government unlimited virtual money & leverage to blackmail and bribe everyone to submit to whatever they want us to do. Revelations 13:16-17
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

In the 20th century over 300,000,000 people have been killed by governments, including our own, with wars started under the false pretense of defending our freedom, while at the same time, selling weapons to both sides, treason, fraud & a violation of the Constitution.

        More historical fact that contradict your misinformation;

“…..So on April 30, 1789 our first president was sworn in at Federal Hall, our first seat of government located on Wall Street, Manhattan New York.”

“On this day things were planned out and seemed to be going smoothly, but as the parade was nearing Federal Hall carrying Washington in a horse drawn carriage, it was suddenly realized that a Bible had been needed for administering the oath. Why? Because it was written into the law and a bible was required to be part of the ceremony. History shows that it was Parade Marshal Jacob Morton who hurried off and soon returned with a large 1767 King James Bible, and it was that bible with which Washington swore his oath of office.”

“The same King James who’s charter ordained this country to sharing the gospel also gave the English speaking people the only authorized bible in history, the King James Authorized Version of the Bible.”

“On April 23, it was announced to the nation that at 9:00 AM the church bells across the nation will ring for a half hour, calling the entire nation come to their house of worship and to commit our new government to the Most High God.”

“The Daily Advertiser reported the following…

“[O]n the morning of the day on which our illustrious President will be invested with his office, the bells will ring at nine o’clock, when the people may go up to the house of God and in a solemn manner commit the new government, with its important train of consequences, to the holy protection and blessing of the Most high. An early hour is prudently fixed for this peculiar act of devotion and . . . is designed wholly for prayer.”

“As the newly inaugurated President, George Washington’s first act as President was to lead on foot, the Vice President and members of the Senate and House of Representatives, proceed to St. Paul’s Chapel.”

The Daily Advertiser, New York, Thursday, April 23, 1789, p. 2

After being sworn-in, George Washington delivered this nation’s first “Inaugural Address” to a joint session of Congress.

        In it, Washington declared:

“It would be peculiarly improper to omit, in this first official act, my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations, and whose providential aids can supply every human defect. No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than those of the United States.”

“It was at St. Paul’s Chapel that our nation was dedicated to God. Our newly founded Government joined our President, along with the rest of the nation, upon bent knee and in solemn prayer asked for God’s favor and blessing upon this nation. It was at that time that our nation was committed by our leader and the people to God Almighty.”

It is at that very moment that the ground with which our nation was dedicated, became hallowed ground.

This ground was from that point on, became a special landmark to our nation and to God.

Like the temple mount where Solomon dedicated Israel and her people to God, so did our first president. Following Solomon’s example his first official act as our nation’s leader was to dedicate our nation and her people to God.

Saint Paul’s Chapel and the land upon which it sat, is a kin to Israel’s temple mount.

The ground is hallowed to our nation.

        • Idols die hard! In Acts 17, the Ephesians cried out for two straight hours “Great is Diana of the Ephesians!” For two straight hours! Well, Americans (ironically, led by Christians) have been crying out “Great is the Constitution of the Americans!” for 227 YEARS!
Keep in mind, idolatry is not so much about statues as it is statutes, particularly as determined by what law you consider the supreme law of the land.

The Constitution does not stand or fall on a bunch of dead politicians’ cherry-picked quotations, but on the law of God. And, as I’ve stated, there’s hardly an Article or Amendment that’s not antithetical, if not seditious to Yahweh’s sovereignty and morality.

See free online book “Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective,” in which every Article and Amendment is examined by the Bible, at http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org/BlvcOnline/blvc-index.html.

By the way, guess where the Bible came from that George Washington took his oath on? The Masonic Temple. George Bush Jr. did the same with the same Bible.

          • Jeb says:

The Bible that George Washington took his oath on was the King James Bible, the same one your link says that you get your quotes from.

I don’t know of any real Christians who think that the Constitution overrules the Bible. Christians today were born into this already established government and their commandment from Jesus Christ is to preach the gospel. (the new testament).

Jesus, also told his disciples when the Roman soldiers came to arrest him, to put away their swords, that if his kingdom were of this world they would fight.

You talk about Christians not following the Bible & committing idolatry because they support their government. The Christian’s job isn’t to fight with the government. It is to preach the simple gospel.

            1 Corinthians 1:17
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

            1 Corinthians 1:21-23
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
            But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

One striking thing is that I don’t see anyone in the New Testament either being commanded by God or going around telling everyone about Yahweh. I don’t think I’ve read one word from you about Jesus Christ, which is your job if you’re a Christian.

            Acts 4:10,12
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Neither is there salvation in any other:

FOR THERE IS NONE OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MEN, WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED.

In the Old Testament 1 Samuel 8:4-5

The children of Israel told Samuel to give them a king like all the other nations have.

            1 Samuel 8:7
And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

            1 Samuel 8:11-18
And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.

12 And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.

13 And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.

14 And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.

15 And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.

16 And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.

17 He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.

18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day.

God didn’t condemn Israel for not wanting him as their king and he gave them what they wanted with consequences. We have a similar problem today, only with a government made up of a mixture of beliefs, and a population who needs to hear the gospel, with the Christians sitting in their churches preaching to the choir.

            Jesus commandment;

            Matthew 28: 18-20

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Yahweh won’t hear your prayers unless you go through his son Jesus Christ.

          • KJV or not, it was still taken from the Masonic Temple. Also:

“…Washington [himself] was indisputably a Freemason:

‘Washington had served as Grand Master [actually Worshipful Master7] of the Alexandria [Virginia] lodge in 1788 and 1789. When he was inaugurated President of the U.S., he was therefore a Grand [Worshipful] Master, the only Mason to be inaugurated President while serving as a Grand [Worshipful] Master….

‘As President, he … never wavered in his attachment to Masonry. …Washington wrote: “Being persuaded that a just application of the principles, on which the Masonic Fraternity is founded, must be promotive of private virtue and public prosperity, I shall always be happy to advance the interests of
the Society, and to be considered by them as a deserving brother.”….

‘John Eidsmoe, in his book-length attempt to defend the Constitution as a Christian document, takes seriously Washington’s outright lie – it can be nothing else – in a letter to G.W. Snyder in 1798, that he had not been in a Masonic lodge
“more than once or twice in the last thirty years.” One does not become the Grand [Worshipful] Master of a lodge by attending services once or twice over thirty years, but one can certainly fool two centuries of Christian critics by lying through one’s wooden teeth about it.’8

“Washington, although hardly a Christian, was a Freemason of the rankest sort. “Testimony given by Timothy Bigelow in a eulogy before the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts two months after Washington’s death indicates that Washington’s Masonic
            experience was more than perfunctory.”….”

For more, see online Chapter 5 “Article 2: Executive Usurpation” at http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org/BlvcOnline/biblelaw-constitutionalism-pt5.html

And what does whether you know any Christians who think the Constitution overrules the Bible have to do with anything? That’s not the issue. The issue is whether the Constitution is biblically compatible whether other Christians you know think it is or not. And the only way to determine that is to actually examine the Constitution by the Bible.

See free online book “Bible Law vs. the United States Constitution: The Christian Perspective” at http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org/BlvcOnline/blvc-index.html.

The gospel includes much more than you give it credit for. For example, consider 1 Timothy 1:8-11.

          • Jeb says:

George Washington was a Freemason? Oh no, not that! One of Jesus disciples was a tax collector, some people were upset that Jesus would associate with a tax collector, because they were regarded as dishonest.

This is where our country is now; 2 Timothy 3:2-5

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

            4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

It doesn’t have anything to do with the Constitution, it has to do with people turning away from God.

  17. felix1999 says:

Who ever wrote this is EXTREMELY ignorant. When you read and EXAMINE what the Founding Fathers wrote about our Constitution and pubic policy, you can not help but walk away with the CHRISTIAN principles behind ALL their documents. Short of requiring Christianity as a religion which they knew was wrong, they did the best they could.

What went WRONG is the drift AWAY from Christianity and not TEACHING what our country was founded on. I would highly recommend David Barton’s, Keys to Good Government, found at his website WallBuilders. It’s only $14.95 plus shipping of $3.00 or so. The INTENT and MOTIVATION was to have a Biblically compliant government and Christians and others of good character in positions of authority. Now we have the OPPOSITE – truly pushing EVIL and persecuting Christians.

    • Kingdom Ambassador says:

One only needs to compare the 8th-century humanistic government of, by, and for the people based upon capricious man-made Enlightenment and Masonic concepts with the 17thp-century Christian Colonial governments of, by, and for God expressly established upon His immutable moral law to recognize the profound difference:

“…Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America, 1835: ‘They [the 17th-century Colonials] exercised the rights of sovereignty; they named their magistrates, concluded peace or declared war, made police regulations, and enacted laws as if their allegiance was due only to God. Nothing can be more curious and, at the same time more instructive, than the legislation of that period; it is there that the solution of the great social problem which the United States now presents to the world is to be found [in perfect fulfillment of Deuteronomy 4:5-8].

‘Amongst these documents we shall notice, as especially characteristic, the code of laws promulgated by the little State of Connecticut in 1650. The legislators of Connecticut begin with the penal laws, and … they borrow their
provisions from the text of Holy Writ … copied verbatim from the books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy….’23

“America was exalted in the eyes of the world because of her applied righteousness, embodied in Yahweh’s perfect law. Since 1788, when the United States of America, as a nation, stopped following Yahweh’s laws and began following the laws of WE THE PEOPLE, our legislation has ceased providing righteous instruction to others. Instead, the rest of the world now holds America
in disdain. If America hopes to regain her favored status in the eyes of the world, she must return to her original Constitution….”

I went to Christian School as a boy. Retired minister. I can tell you………

Problem is Human rights and Civil rights are no where near the same. Then you have the fact that the New Testament undoes the Old Testament in quite a few ways. The Old is the period of LAW. The New is of GRACE. Does this mean “The Ten commandments are no longer valid?

    NO.

If…IF WE as people lived like Jesus suggested as the apostles suggested we wouldn’t have these issues or ask these questions.

    We don’t.

Why? Because Jesus “stands at the door and knocks. WE can’t MAKE HIM KNOCK or MAKE ANYONE ANSWER.

This is where we develop a problem. WE can’t MAKE another person live up to a BIBLE that was written so CHRISTIANS could develop a relationship with GOD and treat each other correctly.

WE live in a world of Perverts, degenerates, Godless reprobates, Atheist, Violent Muslims and child abusers.

WE CAN and SHOULD expect to be safe! And MORAL even NON-CHRISTIANS can be moral. We can and should expect to be free to worship or NOT as WE choose. WE should live up to our constitution and demand to be able to live or NOT LIVE as close to GODLY as we’re able.

If…IF WE protect Christianity WE protect our country, it’s citizens and the rest of our rights!

IF WE don’t ISLAM will take over I KNOW! I studied religion.

    – Also consider this:

At no time did God tell His people to support, fight and die
for the right of all gods to be worshiped among them as He is.

‘Freedom Of Religion’ is from the government, not God.
